It is beyond doubt that the fabric of Western society is fraying and that this crisis of connection is behind many of our deepest problems, from regional disparities and political polarisation to rising loneliness and unhappiness. But there is growing evidence that these problems are surmountable if we renew the networks and institutions that bind people to each other and to their place. We need to reweave the social fabric, help people re-establish a sense of purpose, and create places to which we can all belong.
Following the success of Restitch in Halifax and London in May 2022, we are on the road again and reconvening on 7th and 8th March 2024 in Coventry’s evocative and beautiful Cathedral Quarter. Restitch will once again bring together some of the key thinkers and practitioners from multiple disciplines under one roof. This year Onward and Create Streets are delighted to be joined by new co-host Labour Together.
How can we restitch our society and our places?
The summit will bring together key thinkers, practitioners, local leaders and everyday citizens to discuss the biggest issues facing communities, neighbourhoods and our collective paths to peace and prosperity.
